The Department of Adult Cardiology at Mitera Hospital offers outstanding quality healthcare services for the prevention, diagnosis and treatment of the entire range of cardiovascular diseases.
A team of experienced doctors with established track records in well-known and major hospitals across Greece and abroad work together on a daily basis to provide reliable diagnosis and comprehensive treatment for a host of cardiac conditions and disorders, aiming to substantially improve patients’ quality of life and prognosis.
In line with the continuous evolution in the management of cardiovascular disorders, the Adult Department of Cardiology also conducts significant clinical research in the area of cardiovascular medicine, producing internationally acclaimed research work and participating in international multicenter trials.
Director: Dr. Tzeis Stylianos, Cardiologist
Dr. Tzeis has been actively involved in major European scientific societies, particularly within the European Heart Rhythm Association (EHRA). He has been a member of EHRA since 2007 and was elected Fellow of the European Heart Rhythm Association (FEHRA) in 2020. His contributions include serving on the EHRA Accreditation Committee for Cardiac Pacing (2009–2013) and the ESC Training and Research Grant Committee (2011–2012). He later held key leadership roles within EHRA, including Chairman of the Certification Subcommittee for Cardiac Pacemakers and ICDs (2014–2018) and
Chairman of the EHRA Certification Committee (2018–2022). Since 2024, he serves as Chairman of the EHRA Scientific Program Committee.
His research activity is extensive and highly impactful, with 152 publications in peer-reviewed journals. His scientific work is reflected in a strong bibliometric profile, with an h-index of 41 and an i10-index of 80, highlighting sustained contributions and significant influence in his field.
