Embryology Lab Director: Dr. Ioannis Sfontouris, Biologist – Embryologist
Dr. Ioannis Sfontouris is a Clinical Embryologist with over twenty years of experience in in vitro fertilization, scientific research, and university-level teaching.
He holds the official European certification of Senior Clinical Embryologist and serves as Coordinator of the “Embryology” Special Interest Group of the European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE). He is an Honorary Assistant Professor of Clinical Embryology at the University of Nottingham and an Associate Editor of the prestigious scientific journal Human Reproduction.
Dr. Sfontouris has authored numerous peer-reviewed publications in high-impact scientific journals and has presented award-winning communications at international scientific conferences.
He has extensive experience in undergraduate and postgraduate teaching, as well as in the training of early-career embryologists, participating as a lecturer in postgraduate programs at universities in Greece and the United Kingdom.
