Professor Kofidis has built a distinguished international career in cardiac surgery. He served for over a decade as Full Professor and Director at the National University of Singapore and National University Hospital, where he established Southeast Asia’s first comprehensive Minimally Invasive Heart Surgery program, founded multiple Centers and a Peak of Excellence, and led advanced hemodynamic research. Under his leadership, the department ranked among the world’s top 100 by Newsweek.
He now leads the International Heart Surgery Center at Hygeia Hospital in Greece, advancing minimally invasive cardiac care and educating the next generation of surgeons worldwide.
