Interventional Neuroradiology Department

The Interventional Neuroradiology Department provides advanced diagnostic and therapeutic care for complex cerebrovascular and cervical vascular diseases.

 

Core clinical capabilities include:

  • Selective and super-selective catheterization for the diagnosis of aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations and fistulas, vascular malformations, and brain or neck tumors
  • Evaluation of intra- and extracranial arterial stenoses
  • Endovascular embolization of aneurysms and arteriovenous malformations
  • Angioplasty for carotid, vertebral, and subclavian artery stenosis
  • Preoperative embolization of highly vascular brain and neck tumors to facilitate safer surgical removal.

Dr. Magoufis, is a highly experienced Interventional Neuroradiologist and Director of the Interventional Neuroradiology Department at Metropolitan Hospital.

With advanced training at the University Hospital of BicĂȘtre in Paris, he has more than two decades of experience in endovascular treatment of acute ischemic stroke, cerebral aneurysms, arteriovenous malformations of the brain and spine, and tumor embolization.
