Director Dr. Gravvanis Andreas, Plastic Surgeon – Microsurgeon
Dr. Andreas Gravvanis is Director of the Plastic, Reconstructive Microsurgery and Aesthetic Surgery Department at Metropolitan Hospital. He completed his core training in Plastic Surgery at the General State Hospital of Athens and at Chang Gung Memorial Hospital, Taipei, Taiwan, where he focused on Head and Neck Reconstructive Microsurgery and Facial Paralysis, supported by the MILLESI Award.
Following board certification, he completed three advanced Microsurgical Fellowships at St Andrews Centre for Plastic Surgery (UK), the University Department of Plastic Surgery in Ghent (Belgium), supported by an EURAPS Fellowship, and at MD Anderson Cancer Center, Houston, Texas, supported by an EURAPS/AAPS Fellowship.
Dr. Gravvanis worked as a Consultant Plastic Surgeon with a special interest in Breast Reconstruction at Queen Victoria Hospital, East Grinstead, United Kingdom (2007–2008), while concurrently serving as Consultant Plastic Surgeon at the Advanced Cosmetic Surgery Clinic in Dublin, Ireland (2006–2008). He subsequently served as Senior Registrar (Consultant Grade) in Plastic Surgery at the General State Hospital of Athens from 2009 to 2017.
